Terms and Conditions
By registering to the 5th Global Department Store Summit (GDSS) you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
Registration is not considered confirmed and entrance not permitted until payment of the cost contribution has been received in full. Delegates can only register online on the GDSS website, www.gdss2016.org, by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). The cost contribution to the GDSS is entitling to an entry at the two-day conference GDSS, refreshments, and participation to the Official Dinner on Thursday evening 26 May 2016. The cost contribution does not include travel to or from the conference venue or any accommodation costs incurred. No partial refund will be made if a delegate attends only one day of GDSS conference or is not in the position, for whatever reasons, to participate to the Official Dinner.
Cancellations must be received in writing by email (email@example.com) or fax (+41 44 291 5000).
- Cancellations received before 25 March 2016 will be eligible for 100% refund.
- Cancellations received between 25 March 2016 and 25 April 2016 included shall incur an administration charge of €150. You agree that this charge represents a genuine pre-estimate of the costs occurred as a result of cancellation.
- Cancellations received from 26 April 2016 onwards and 'no shows' are not refundable.
If GDSS has to be cancelled by IGDS for any reason within the control of the organizer, a full refund of the GDSS cost contribution will be paid to you within 8 weeks. IGDS's total liability to you in connection with the cancellation of GDSS shall be limited to a refund of the GDSS cost contribution. The organizer shall not be liable to delegate's travel, accommodation or other costs if IGDS is forced to cancel the GDSS.
If GDSS has to be postponed for reasons beyond the control of IGDS, you will be notified of a revised date for the GDSS and you shall have the right to cancel your place and receive a full refund of the GDSS cost contribution (to be paid to you within 8 weeks). If you wish to confirm your attendance at the postponed GDSS, your booking will be transferred to the new GDSS date and the terms listed here will apply to the transferred booking.
In exceptional circumstances it may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the organizer of the GDSS to alter the content, speakers, venue, or the timing of the conference; all participants will be notified in advance of such changes. However, GDSS cannot be held liable for any costs occurred. This action does not entitle delegate for refund.
Should registered delegate be unable to attend, the organizer welcomes a substitute delegate attending instead at no extra cost. Please notify the following information by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by fax to +41 44 291 5000: name, job title, phone number and e-mail of both the registered delegate and the replacement delegate.
GDSS participants and delegates are responsible for taking appropriate insurance cover in connection with their attendance at the event. To the full extent permitted by law, the event organizer, or any individuals associated with the organization of the conference shall not be liable for any kind of loss or damage to personal property or delegates unless caused by our negligence.
All rights (including copyright and database right) in all presentations, documentation and materials published or otherwise made available as part of the GDSS (including but not limited to any audio-visual recording of the GDSS) is owned by the organizer or is included with the permission of the owner of the rights. No photography, filming, broadcast or other dissemination of the content is permitted, unless previously agreed with the organizer. Materials provided by the organizer remain the intellectual property of GDSS. Delegates and participants consent to GDSS (or its designees who have been specifically employed by the organizer) the possibility to make on-site recordings of you by any means without compensation of any kind to you.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law.
IGDS and GDSS reserve the right to decline registrations in case the event is sold out. Please note that there is a limited number of seats available; registrations will be served on a first in basis. The organizer reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to limit or deny access to the GDSS to any entity or individual and is not obliged or cannot be forced to give any reason for doing so.
